Geosphere

The Geosphere is the scientific name for the solid parts of a planet. When you go on a hike, think of the ground beneath your feet as part of the Earth's Geosphere. Without the Geosphere it wouldn't be possible for humans to live on the planet because there would be no solid ground. The geosphere includes the rocks and minerals of Earth - from the molten rock and heavy metals in the deep interior of the planet to the sand on beaches and peaks of mountains.
